Treasurer's Report - Gordon reported that there were no new donations during the past month and that just the regular monthly bills had been paid.
Presidents' Report - In the absence of Martha, Mike read a note from her concerning several items: 1) discussion concerning a sign for the parking lot resulted in Gordon suggesting we talk to Gary McCammon (insurance carrier) re: liability, it was also suggested we talk to Bob Hunter (HH attorney) - Gordon said he will contact both, city doesn't have that kind of signs so we would have to have one made or possibly purchase one at a local store; 2) Beth Gray discussed the conversation she has had with a grandmother of two harpists who live in S. Carolina who was wondering if we would like to sell their CD's as a fundraiser - it was suggested we purchase their CD of 1865 Civil War era music to use as background music for activities at the house, but not to do it as a fundraiser.
Renovation - Maryjo reported 1) that Dave Hoover says that the forsythia is OK - it is just shutting down a little early; 2) the lamps at the back steps and at the ramp look great - MANY THANKS to Mike and his son for installing them; 3) the kitchen committee met and decided to not start renovations until we have money to complete the project - Maryjo has compiled the ideas that were decided upon if anyone wants to look them over, Michelle stated that maybe her husband would be willing to build the cabinets if we purchase the materials - she will talk to him; 4) Maryjo would like to paint the clapboard areas this fall - the kitchen committee had discussed the color and it was decided to paint it the beige color of the brick grouting; and 5) the attic walls and ceiling have been painted and now the floor needs to be scrubbed.
